What we assume for each product
  • Intercom Fin: Fin is modelled standalone on another helpdesk: {f:intercom-fin.perOutcome} per resolution with the monthly minimum and no Intercom seats. Handoffs you configure as outcomes would add to the bill.
  • Zendesk AI Agents: Zendesk does not publish a per-resolution price. The calculator uses the unofficial {f:zendesk-ai-agents.forumResolutionPrice} from a 2025 forum comment plus Suite Team seats, and ignores the small included allowance.
  • Salesforce Agentforce: Modelled on the {f:salesforce-agentforce.perConversation} per conversation plan, which bills every conversation. Service Cloud licenses are not included.
  • Freshworks Freddy AI Agent: Each conversation is treated as one session at {f:freshworks-freddy.perSession}, plus Growth seats. A customer who returns after the session window starts a new billable session.
  • Gladly AI: Uses the Shopify App Store prices: {f:gladly.perAiResolution} per AI Resolution plus {f:gladly.seatShopify} per team member. AI Assists at {f:gladly.perAiAssist} each are not included.
  • Tidio Lyro: Uses Tidio's headline rate of {f:tidio-lyro.perConversationFrom} per Lyro conversation, which applies to the larger bundles. Small bundles cost more per conversation, and threads close after {f:tidio-lyro.threadInactivityMinutes} idle minutes, so a returning visitor counts again.
  • Help Scout AI Answers: {f:help-scout-ai-answers.perResolution} per resolution plus Standard plan seats at {f:help-scout-ai-answers.seatStandard} per user.
  • HubSpot Customer Agent: {f:hubspot-customer-agent.perResolution} per resolved conversation. HubSpot seats and onboarding fees are not included, because we could not confirm the Professional seat price.

How to read the results

  • Move the resolution rate. Per-resolution products get more expensive as the agent gets better; per-conversation and per-session products do not. That is the most important difference between the models.
  • Seats are part of the price. Where an agent only runs on the vendor's own helpdesk, the calculator adds that vendor's entry seat price for each human agent.
  • "Quote only" means we will not guess. For vendors that publish no prices we show no number. Where procurement data exists, it is in the product's pricing page.
  • Use your own rate. Vendor averages come from other companies. Run a pilot and come back with your number.

What the calculator leaves out

Taxes, negotiated discounts, implementation services, voice minutes, add-ons, and overage penalties are not included. Prices are list prices in US dollars as published by each vendor on the verification date shown on this page. How billable units are defined differs by vendor; see what counts as a resolution.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there no price for some vendors?

They sell only by quote. We do not estimate a unit price we cannot source, and we do not use competitors' blog posts as evidence of another vendor's prices.

Which resolution rate should I enter?

If you have not run a pilot, try 30%, 50% and 70% and look at how far the ranking moves. If it changes a lot, the pricing model matters more to you than the unit price.
